At First Sight Training Academy

At First Sight Training Academy

I booked in for a lash lift with tint. Nicola’s student was practicing, I can’t fault the attention to detail. Nicola sat with her student the entire time, quietly guiding and constantly giving praise. A great teacher as well as beautician. I would absolutely recommend Nicola.

How the academy was founded

Have you always dreamed of working in the beauty industry? Maybe you already do and you thrive on offering only the best services to your clients. If you need updated on certain skills or you would love to learn and offer something completely new, then At First Sight Beauty Salon & Training Academy is exactly what you are searching for. All courses are fully accredited and insurable. All courses are accredited by The Guild of Beauty Therapists. All courses meet the national occupational standards, these are the same standards what NVQs meet. So be rest assured that all training and qualifications with me are recognised.

Nicola Couperthwaite your course tutor, prides herself on offering a one to one, personal service to her salon clients. Which she has now extended into her training academy. Nicola personally felt that the Scottish Borders didn't offer any external beauty courses outside of the local College's. Most courses of which are to be completed in the surrounding Cities and most likely in large groups, where one to one help and tuition is less likely. It can also be an intimidating feeling asking for help or raising your hand to say you don't understand something in a room full of 20 other therapists.

This where At First Beauty Salon & Training Academy are unique and very different to other training providers. All courses with Nicola will only ever be on a one to one basis, or one team from one salon only. This is to create a relaxed atmosphere where you can get the absolute most out of your training. All courses are based in a real life salon environment also. At this training academy you really are CREATING EXCELLENCE.

Nicola came to Borders College in January 2016 to do an employability talk to the beauty students. It was excellent that Nicola was able to share her knowledge and expertise with the students. Nicola also actively takes on placement students from the college, who gain an impressive amount of knowledge from Nicola.
